Song: Affirmation By Savage Garden

Music is one of the more important things I have in my life. It is so, that when I heard someone saying anything, I instantly remember any song that contains what the people are saying and I ended up with a song playing in my head.

I am used to associating songs to every event in my life either i am are happy, sad, romantic, joyful, angry or any kind of feeling you can think of.

I am used to hearing music in English and that’s one of the biggest tools that I have for improving my English skills and increase the amount of vocabulary, and there lies the biggest difficulty in this homework.

In my music player I have around 3000 songs, all of them in English, each one of them with an specific meaning in my life, so for me it is really hard to choose.

I am believer that music is a universal language, and I believe that in most of the cases musicians can do for us what we are not able to do: express our thoughts, our feelings, our ideas in such way that just one song it’s enough to say all we want to express.

Lots of artists have found the way to express their ideas and to create some type of conscience about our reality and what is happening around the world, caused by us.Sometimes repeating a song is a good way to print in our heads a really good idea.

Michael Jackson was a good example of that. Songs like Man in the mirror, The earth, Cry, They don’t care about us, have made a mark in our society because of its meaning and even are recognized as anthems.

I choose Affirmation, because it is like a creed. We are now surrounded by a different kind of reality and facts that lots of people know and don’t want to accept them even though are true.

In most of the cases those who say the truth wide open are shutted up, those who dear without fear against politics are banned. And sometimes, just sometimes, no matter what kind of replications would appear against these artists, the message keeps playing, and people won’t forget that.

Affirmation is loaded with lots of today’s facts and reality, that everybody knows but no one says anything about it nor accept it. These messages are just the truth that no one says
